“Bears would buy drip honey”

Our Classic drip honey was named Austria’s organic product of the year 2025 in the “Farm & Craft” category in Wieselburg (Lower Austria)!

That’s what the jury says:

“What is really special is how Stockwerk harvests their honey. While it is usually extracted (which is not a bad thing), the brothers Michael and Richard Schachinger have rediscovered an ancient harvesting technique: dripping. This means that their honey drips slowly from the combs, the speed being determined solely by gravity and the ambient temperature. “The drip honey tastes incredibly good,” says juror Katharina Seiser, “its consistency is creamy to slightly jelly-like, slightly waxy, a little spicy, with a delicate acidity at the end, very harmonious overall.” Juror Reinhard Gessl is also impressed by the round, pleasant yet spicy taste and says: “Super regional, super seasonal, super organic, super craftsmanship, simple packaging. A discovery!”. Thomas Weber surmises at the jury meeting: “Bears would buy drip honey”.

The Organic Product of the Year Award is organized by Messe Wieselburg
and is presented in cooperation with BIO AUSTRIA and BIORAMA. The evaluation criteria are innovation, design, sustainability and fun factor. Further information on the award: Link
