Forest honey Maxi

Description

This jar of forest honey contains the taste of a rare natural phenomenon: this special spruce honeydew only occurs in large quantities in the Attersee-Traunsee region every 10-15 years. Bees simply cannot resist what is known as melezitosis – and are prepared to travel unusually long distances to collect them.

With this in mind, we have been offering forest honey alongside our drip honey since 2024: This is characterized by its aromatic and fine-malty flavours.

Notes

Store in a dry place, protected from light and heat.

Natural honey like ours crystallizes sooner or later. It is typical for this rare forest honey to be naturally cloudy and for honey crystals (melezitosis) to form on the bottom of the jar. If you like, you can add honey with max. 40 degrees liquefy again: Below 40 degrees, all valuable ingredients are retained.
